Mazin Al Balkhi leads a team of subject matter experts helping stakeholders to lay the foundations of a long-term, rule-of-law-based missing persons process for Syria.
Mazin worked on rule of law and development at the International Legal Assistance Consortium, CEELI Institute, and other organizations for more than a decade before joining ICMP in January 2023. He had previously worked in Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, and Sweden in the field of international justice and development.
Mazin holds a master's degree in Communications for Development from the University of Malmo and a diploma in leadership and administration from the Swedish Institute. He started his career as a general coordinator of the legal commission at the Syrian National Coalition.
