As Head of Legal Unit and Legal Advisor, Rosalynd supports the Director-General on legal and policy related matters, in line with the legal status, mandate and functions of the Organization as well as its policy and regulatory framework. Rosalynd works across practice areas of relevance to the entire organization, and additionally fulfils the role of the Organization’s Data Protection Officer.

Prior to undertaking this position in January 2023, Rosalynd worked as a Legal Officer in the Office of the President of the United Nations International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals, and as a Legal Officer in Chambers of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia supporting the Judges in the trial of Prosecutor v. Ratko Mladić. Rosalynd also spent time in Sarajevo, as Legal Advisor on War Crimes and Rule of Law for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe’s Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Rosalynd holds a PhD from the University of Reading, Berkshire, United Kingdom, and in 2018 was awarded Alumna of the Year by the University of Reading for her contribution towards international criminal justice.
