The International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) has published its Program & Budget for 2025-30, laying out in detail its strategy for helping partners around the world to address the issue of missing and disappeared persons.

The Program & Budget describes ICMP’s existing resources and capabilities and explains how the organization plans to enhance its capacity to assist stakeholders, by securing support for its laboratory system, its software development activities, and its comprehensive training portfolio and activities to support the creation of legislation and institutions and the active role of families of the missing in processes to account for their loved ones. The Program and Budget also describes ICMP’S plans and programs related to Syria-MENA, Iraq, the Western Balkans, Ukraine, the South Caucuses, Vietnam and elsewhere.

“This document is a blueprint for delivering desperately needed assistance to stakeholders in every part of the world, “ICMP Director-General Kathryne Bomberger said today. “It allows donors to see where their support can have the greatest impact, and it offers governments and other stakeholders a clear view of the areas where ICMP can help them address this issue.”

The Program & Budget was presented to ICMP’s Financial Committee, comprising States Parties and other states and organizations that support ICMP, on 11 November, and to ICMP’s Board of Commissioners on 20 November.
