25 March 2016: On 21 and 22 March, ICMP personnel together with partners from the relevant authorities, placed fences and warning signs around the main mass gravesites in Sinjar. This is the first time that any form of protection has been provided at these sites. The signs indicate that the gravesites should not be entered “in order to protect evidence and the crime scene to safeguard victims’ rights in international courts”.
ICMP has trained more than 550 Iraqi professionals from the various institutions engaged in the process of accounting for the missing, from across sectarian and national lines. It is now training technicians to begin the process of assistance in locating and accounting for missing persons from Sinjar.[:ar]
لاهاي 25 اذار 2016: في 21 و 22 اذار قامت اللجنه الدوليه لشؤون المفقودين ICMP جنبا إلى جنب مع شركائها من الجهات ذات العلاقة من حكومة إقليم كردستان، بوضع الاسيجه وعلامات التحذير حول مواقع المقابر الجماعية الرئيسية في سنجار. وهذه هي المرة الأولى التي يتم فيها توفير أي شكل من أشكال الحماية في هذه المواقع. و علامات التحذير هذه تشير إلى أن هذه مواقع القبور لا يجب الدخول اليها «من أجل حماية الأدلة ومسرح الجريمة لحماية حقوق الضحايا في المحاكم الدولية»
اللجنه الدوليه لشؤون المفقودين دربت أكثر من 550 من المهنيين العراقيين من مختلف المؤسسات المشاركة في عملية التعرف عن المفقودين، من مختلف الطوائف والقوميات . والآن تقوم بتدريب فنيين للبدء في عملية تحديد الرفات من سنجار.[:]
