25 August 2020: In an online exchange organized by the International Commission on Missing Persons, families of the missing from Bosnia and Herzegovina and from Syria shared experiences of their fights for justice and effective investigations into the whereabouts of their missing loved ones and the circumstances of their disappearances. Families in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the ICMP has helped identify more than 70 percent of the 30,000 who went missing in the 1990s war, urged their Syrian counterparts to persevere in securing rights and underlined the importance of a secure central record that collects all information on all missing persons. August 2020: Tokom online diskusije, koju je organizovala Međunarodna komisija za nestale osobe, porodice nestalih iz Bosne i Hercegovine i Sirije razmijenile su iskustva o svojoj borbi za pravdu i učinkovitu istragu o pronalaženju svojih nestalih bližnjih i okolnostima njihovog nestanka. Porodice u Bosni i Hercegovini, gdje je ICMP pomogao identifikovati više od 70 procenata od 30,000 osoba nestalih tokom rata iz 1990-ih, podstakle su predstavnike porodica iz Sirije da istraju u borbi za svoja prava i naglasili značaj sigurne centralne evidencije koja prikuplja sve informacije o nestalim osobama. ٢٥ آب ٢٠٢٠: في تبادل إلكتروني نظمته اللجنة الدولية لشؤون بالمفقودين بين عائلات المفقودين من البوسنة والهرسك ومن سوريا، تحدث المشاركون عن تجاربهم ومعاركهم من أجل تحقيق العدالة وإجراء التحقيقات الفعالة في أماكن وجود أحبائهم المفقودين وظروف اختفائهم. كذلك حثت عائلات البوسنة والهرسك نظيراتها السورية على المثابرة لتأمين الحقوق وأكدوا لهم أهمية وجود سجل مركزي آمن يجمع بيانات الأشخاص المفقودين. تقدم اللجنة الدولية لشؤون المفقودين فيلمًا قصيرًا بعنوان „رحلة السعي الى الحقيقة والحرية“ يوثق هذا التبادل كجزء من أنشطة للاحتفال باليوم العالمي للمفقودين 2020.
